Kenneth C. Davis

Kenneth C. Davis is the New York Times best-selling author of Don't Know Much About® History: Everything You Need to Know About American History but Never Learned. First published in 1990, the book spent 35 consecutive weeks on The New York Times paperback best-seller list and gave rise to Davis's series of Don't Know Much About® books and audios on a wide range of topics for adults and children. Subjects for adults in the series include Geography, the Civil War, the Bible, Mythology, and the American Presidents. Davis also wrote the New York Times best-seller America's Hidden History.  He is also the author of A Nation Rising, and his most recent book, The Hidden History of America At War: Untold Tales from Yorktown to Fallujah, was published in May 2015.

Davis has contributed to The New York Times, Smithsonian Magazine, and The Washington Post. He has been a guest on hundreds of radio shows, including National Public Radio. He has also appeared on many television shows, including Today, Fox and Friends, and CBS This Morning. Davis makes "virtual visits" to schools and libraries to discuss history and current events.

Born and educated in public schools in Mt. Vernon, New York, Kenneth C. Davis attended Concordia College in Bronxville, New York and Fordham University at Lincoln Center. He is married to Joann Davis and resides in New York City. Together they have two grown children. Davis posts regularly at www.dontknowmuch.com.
