Curriculum, Professional Development, and Tours

The Oregon Historical Society (OHS) offers innovative, standards-aligned curriculum and professional development for grades K–20 that features OHS Museum and Research Library collections. OHS designs all curriculum to work without a museum visit; however, we welcome groups of 10 or more people of any age to schedule a tour to further immerse themselves in our permanent and rotating exhibits. Professional development opportunities supports the teaching and learning of ethnic studies, tribal studies, women's rights, and social justice as well as provide tips on how educators can bring the Oregon History Day program to their in person or virtual classroom.

All school tours and traveling trunks are paused until further notice.  We encourage high school students and educators to visit OHS independently and for younger students to visit with families or caregivers during this time. Refer to ohs.org/reopening for guidance and requirements. We are eager to welcome back group tours when it is safe to do so!
