Robert Warren

Digital Services Photographer

Robert is the Oregon Historical Society’s digital services photographer where he spends his time digitizing the vast collections of maps, manuscripts, photographic negatives, and artifacts for patrons and fellow staff. Prior to joining OHS in October 2018, he jumped into the world of cultural heritage imaging as the Digital Imaging Specialist for the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco. He has worked in many roles in the photography field including as a studio assistant, digital retoucher, fine art printer, and educator. He earned a BFA from Purchase College in New York and an MFA from the Massachusetts College of Art & Design, both concentrating on photography. Outside of OHS, Robert can be found waiting for the rain to stop while photographing the wide-ranging landscapes of the Pacific Northwest.
