Your planned gift will safeguard and share our state’s remarkable history with current and future generations. Become a member of the Oregon Legacy Society—and join with other generous supporters of the Oregon Historical Society who have shown their commitment to preserving our past.
Membership means much more than free admission to our museum and research library, more than invitations to special exhibition previews, and other wonderful benefits. Members are part of a more than 100 year tradition of stewardship for our state?s history. The Oregon Historical Society offers membership programs to meet the needs of individuals, families, businesses, corporations and non-profit organizations.
|Donations to the Collection|
Because of generous donations of history from Oregon Historical Society supporters, we have one of the country’s most extensive collections: 3 million photographs, 85,000 artifacts, 25,000 maps, 12,000 linear feet of manuscript materials, and 35,000 books. You can help us build this treasured collection.
|History Makers Dinner|
The annual History Makers Dinner celebrates Oregon’s living leaders who have made history in their own time. This special awards ceremony honors those who shape our state and our culture. Funds raised at this event help ensure that our history is carefully preserved and interpreted in ways that inform and inspire our future. For more information, call Sue Metzler at 503.306.5229.
