AWARDS
In 2005, the Oregon History Project was honored with the inaugural ABC-CLIO Online History Award. Administered by the History Section of the Reference and User Services Association (RUSA), a division of the American Library Association (ALA), this award is given to encourage, recognize and commend professional achievement in historical reference and research librarianship.

In 2006, the Oregon History Project received two awards from the National Conference of State Historic Preservation Offices (NCSHPO) for its narrative history, Wooden Beams and Railroad Ties: the History of Oregon’s Built Environment. The NCSHPO Education Program Award was given for the narrative's contribution to preservation education. In addition, the Partnerships with a Private Non-Profit Entity Award was given for programmatic collaboration among the State Historic Preservation Office, the Oregon Heritage Commission, and the Oregon Historical Society.
