Milen Slavov
 Milen was born in the Thrace region of Bulgaria and grew up steeped in the local folk traditions. He learned to play the accordion at an early age and now is a master with an international following. Milen also has professional training in classical music and music theory and has won awards for composition and performance. He is a virtuoso accordionist of many musical genres, including traditional tunes from his homeland.
Area: Statewide Bulgarian Folk Music In this exciting solo piano accordion performance, students will hear traditional and contemporary Bulgarian music. Milen also performs a full range of music from other Eastern European countries: Ukraine, Russia, and Macedonia. At additional cost, Milen's wife, award winning singer Zhivka Papancheva, will join him in performance. They are also available for individual and group workshops, cultural events, and music demonstrations.
